jake- there is something wrong with your javascript - the tiles change images when you click on them - so if the center of the cake pictures is in the lower left corner, and I click on it to move, it changes pictures. And the tile that is now in the lower left corner is the center of the cake.

now WE can't be mindless...what's a girl to do????

jake

Now, now, Susan, I warned you it was useless. At any rate I'm assuming you were using Safari to view our blog and quite frankly, Safari and my mosaic didn't like each other very much. I've given them a talking-to, however, so things should be just fine from here on out. Send me an email if you still have problems. Thanks.

thanks for fixing it for me Jake - makes me feel so "speshial" - but now I remember exactly why I hated these little games as a kid. Because they are totally useless. (Hmmmm - feel like I've heard that somewhere before!)

I'll let my son play with it when he gets home from school - I'm sure he'll enjoy it. You remind me a lot of him.......

I don't know what is worse...almost solving the cake puzzle or sitting here way too long attempting to do it or actually taking all the needed time to do it. You are very right...it is useless. But on a happy note--isn't that what all entertaining distractions are? I am enjoying this distraction from 5 loads of laundry just waiting on my bed to be folded. I wish I was on my bed!

Has anyone actually won any of these? The best that I have done is getting 7 of the 8 blocks into the correct position. This is truly the work of a sick mind-these puzzles. Jake-you are sick!

jake

I solved the third one.

And now I solved the second one.

Brian

You are an evil man, Jake. E-vile. You need to add in an "I give up button" that does something mildly amusing to reward those you have driven to the brink of insanity.

Jake--you obviously are not working hard enough there and you are not ashamed! You are who the person who was thinking about when he or she said: Are you working hard or hardly working? You have a bored mind which I have to admit I admire....Teach me, oh wise one! I should come up with some wise and mystic name for you like "Puzzle Master" or "Stupid Puzzle Guru" (The puzzle's are stupid...not you!)...I am one of those people that Brian thinks has been driven to the brink!
