I’m a pretty clean and simple kind of person. I like straight lines and smooth edges. My closet is organized by length of sleeve and sub-categorized by color. OCD? Maybe a little (at least I don’t have to make sure my golf tees are all facing the right way… Gary). Anyway, I’ve never been one to put bumper stickers all over my clean, shiny car. But ever since I had to give up my Beautiful British Columbia license plates five years ago, I have lamented the loss of my Canadian identity. Today is Canada day, and in honor of my home and native land, I gave my car a temporary alter-ego, just a little something to show my Canadian pride. I didn’t want anything flashy, something more like the little tattoo you get in an inconspicuous place, the tiny rebellious streak in an otherwise straight-arrow life. So I used the Silhouette to cut out this Canadian maple leaf in red vinyl and put it in the corner of my car’s rear window. Now I can really sport my Canadian pride, while keeping with my minimalistic lifestyle. Happy Canada Day!
