During the past few months my husband and I have made a serious effort to get to know our neighbors better. We have found that nothing does the trick better than a quick visit with a handmade & heartfelt gift. Today I wanted to share one of my favorite tricks for making a homemade goodie look cuter than ever!
I wrap a half-size loaf of homemade bread in a band that is die cut from parchment paper...the kind you just might have hanging around in your kitchen. First, I pick out my favorite 12" border die to create my wrap (The one that you see here might not look too familiar yet, but will be coming to a store near you soon...hint, hint). Next I use my Epic to run my die and parchment paper through. Just that quick, I have a decorative band to wrap around my bread. Then, I secure my wrap with a ribbon.
Of course it wouldn't be complete without a quick, simple, handwritten note just to say we care. Watch for this little lovely in the near future too! So now I challenge you to take a homemade goodie to a neighbor you may not know very well. And, of course, don't forget to wrap it up in something cute!
Have a great day!
Heather

And it is also noted, that love and envy do make a man pine, which other affections do not, because they are not so continual.
